I'm exactly the same way. I'm obsessive about correcting them, even years down the road. I've found myself wondering how to get into archives (including this one) in order to fix a mistake, without causing the Archivist trouble, because it's annoying as hell to find mistakes when you've proof read more than once and even used a beta. Speaking of working...which after NFA story is it that has Spike working for the Watcher's Council as either a translator or writing his memoirs (or maybe both?) He works in a dusty old Library, and at one point, someone (Wolfram and Hart, maybe?) tries to kill him by sucking him out of the library through a portal of some sort.

Spikenapper: LJ is working okay for me here in the UK. I noticed that the ads are no longer appearing properly though.
I was online here in the UK at 9.50am I think it was when the DOS started. From one minutes to the next LJ ceased loading pages. It was back a few hours later and has been working since, with just a few hesitations and delays loading, but I've always experienced that.   82.45.117.151

I'm not adverse to reading a fic that has been abandoned, as long as I know that in advance, but to get involved in a long, complicated story, and only find out it was never finished when I come to the abrupt ending is quite a letdown. I was confused about the difference, as well. That's why I looked it up before I posted. It sounds like it should work the other way around, but it doesn't.

The third definition of predate (which there wasn't room for in the last comment) is:

I think "precede in time" is what's going to help me keep them straight in the future.

Eithne: I was wondering if anyone might remember a story, I think it's Spander. Spike comes upon a group of demons trying to get someone in a crypt. Spike fights with the demons and figures out the prey is a child, the child is hiding and stabs one of the demons in the foot. The child turns out to be Xander. Laazikaat: I've configured it now to allow continuous posting, time to modify is now 2 minutes, and adjusted the space we have to type our message. It was set to 2 lines, I've increased it to 6. Also it mentions avatars, so trying to work that out as well    123.2.85.146          
Laazikaat: This one is very configurable, I just didn't worry about colour scheme until I know if everyone can use it okay, I saw a test post by LadyQ so that's good. Even the character allowance can be modified, I set it at 500 but I can increase it I think. Plus you can do this !   123.2.85.146
