Not Happy

by

"I'm not happy with you."

"Ask me if I care."

"You should. Me not being happy leads to much destruction."

"It's not that bad."

"Maybe not to you, but to me it's horrible One of the worst things that could possibly happen."

"Stop exaggerating. You'll live."

"We're not really sure about that."

"What do you mean?"

"Exactly what I said. I might not live through this."

"Why? What did they say was the problem?"

"Gods, think of the logistics of it for a moment. What do you think my chances of survival are?"

"I think they're high. You're a survivor, you always have been and this won't be any different."

"No, this is very different. This is something that isn't even suppose to be possible yet once again the impossible happens to me."

"Nothing's impossible, only improbable."

"Stop quoting books at me."

"Don't snap at me."

"Why not? It's your fault after all."

"How's it my fault?"

"Who was in charge? I know it wasn't me."

"Hey, like you said, this should be able to happen anyway. How would I have known to take precautions?"

"Age should have given you the advantage."

"I can't talk to you when you're in this mood."

"Then leave. But if you walk out that door I won't let you come back."

"You think I'd leave for good?"

"Do you really think this is going to be the only time I'm in this sort of mood?"

"Oh hell, I'm gonna go crazy."

"You? Right. You have the easy part and you can walk away from it all anytime you want. I don't have that luxury."

"I'm not walking away."

"Yeah, right I believe you."

"I don't walk away. I get left remember. So get over yourself."

"You know what? I don't need this. Just go."

"Do you really want me gone? Think carefully, 'cause I might not come back."

"No, I don't want you gone. I want this to be a bad burrito dream. I want to wake up and laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation."

"Sorry love, it's not a dream."

"I know."

"Oh, don't cry. I'll be here every step of the way."

"I don't even know why I'm crying. One minute I'm happy, the next I'm bawling my eyes out and then I get so angry I want to destroy the world."

"Anything I can do?"

"Yeah, hold me and tell me everything's going to be okay."

"Of course it will, you have me with you."

"You know the really hard part is coming up."

"And what's that?"

"Thinking of a name."

"Xan-love, you're only three months pregnant, we have time to think of names."

"Yeah, but if we get a head start now they baby won't be the Harris-Bloody baby with no first name."

"Fine. We'll start on names in the morning."

"Thank you. And Spike?"

"Yes Xander?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."
